I only got to stop into my studio today. I guess if I had a regular job today would be called a personal day. Taking care of things that need to be done which can’t be done on the weekend.
But in that small space of time that I did visit my studio (because I felt like a visitor), I pulled together a few pieces of fabric that is the beginning of my next Meditation Mat.
I came across the piece of fabric in the middle when I was working on Sage Sea. The two pieces flanking it were scraps from Morning Light. They just happened to fit perfectly together, I didn’t have to trim either one.
The Jelly fish fabric was a bit short, but the flowers add that bit of asymmetrical balance that was needed.
It’s only the beginning, but a place to start when I get into my studio tomorrow. I didn’t clean up after designing Potholders yesterday, so my studio is a happy mess of fabric. Better to have too much to choose from than not enough.
I like the phrase “a happy mess of fabric”.
