Once again I began a new Meditation Mat with one of Carol Conklin’s batiks. The butterfly wing fabric was already on my work table, they just happened to look wonderful together.
I took pictures of me making the Meditation Mat along the way. But the colors were so off in the photos, I couldn’t use them.
My intention was to work with those yellows and oranges in both the fabrics, but the Meditation Mat had another idea.
It wanted to go blues and greens, so I followed along and in the process of looking for fabric found the moon, planets and stars.
From butterfly wings to the universe.
I think, but I’m not completely sure, that I’m not quite done with the top of their Meditation Mat. I’m picturing that yellow after all, a thin line of it around the whole piece….
