Morning dew, like sunlight, glorify the pathways and homes of so many spiders. And there are so, so many of them. A flower’s petal or a blade of grass is all some spiders need to travel and build their temporary home.
You can see the zig-zag in the middle of this spider web. It’s the mark of a Yellow Garden Spider. Although, none of us humans are really sure it’s purpose, it remains the spiders secret.
This web strung between a blue flag iris leaf and a blade of grass made it look like they a game of “Cat’s Cradle”.

So many spiders mean so many insects, a healthy environment, invisible to us humans, most of the time.
We have had a new spider web built up at the corner of our garage where there is a motion sensitive light for years. The light helps attract her “meals”. My husband named her Lucretia. When letting the dog out at night before bed, he checks to see how Lucretia is doing and what she might be having for dinner. I think we might be on the 10th or more generation by now. Spiders can be fascinating!
