I began my latest Mediation Mat as I often do, with the scraps I found on my work table while cleaning up.
I was sure I used the last of the sparkly moon, stars and planets fabric, when I made NightSky. But there they were, four small scraps glowing in the darkness.
I found myself working with indigos and purples, the sixth and seventh chakras, the third eye and crown….
….intuition, self awareness and higher self.
I took the idea of the sacred spaces from my Potholders of the same name, and floated the small spaces in purple.
Little places to go.
I don’t have a name for this Mediation Mat yet, but it has to do with the healing darkness that can come with sleep and the unique quiet of night.
