I got my I Am Enough and Show Your Soulmagnets today. I was so excited to see them. I’ve made them into posters and postcards, (which are mostly sold out at the moment) and I think they work really well as magnets.
I think both messages are timeless and important. I know I often need to be reminded that, I am enough.
The words Show Your Soul continue to move me. They come from this quote from Clarissa Pinkola Estes:
“One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires, causes proper matters to catch fire. To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these – to be fierce and to show mercy toward others; both are acts of immense bravery and greatest necessity.”
The images on both magnets are goddesses from fiber paintings that I made. I think they illustrate the words well.
Each magnet is 2″x4″. They are $6 each + $1 shipping for one or more.
I decided to make my I Am Enough and Show Your Soul posters into magnets.
I sold out of both postcards and I Am Enough posters. (I still have a few Show Your Soul posters) So I see that people want them. I thought the message would work well on a magnet too.
I’m hoping to get them by next Friday and then will sell them in my Etsy Shop.
I rang the bell on the counter at A&M Printers. I could hear someone in the office and expected Brad to come out as he usually did.
Instead a little girl with long brown hair came gliding out of the office on a scooter and stopped in front of me. “I can get my dad,” she said to me. Then she spun around on her scooter, and silently sped away. I watched her get smaller as she went the long way, through three rooms and finally a red curtain in the back of the shop.
A few moments later she was headed back towards me, with Brad following her. She glided past me and, without a word, disappeared back into the office.
There was something kind of magical about her, in the way she moved so quickly, quietly and efficiently from room to room. For some reason, the movie Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory came to mind.
Brad handed me the posters and I gave him a check.
I knew the posters were done because I got a bill in the mail. Brad isn’t great at contacting people when their work is done. Usually I stop by the print shop before the bill comes, when I think whatever I’ve ordered might be done.
When I sold my last Show Your Soul poster a few months ago, I didn’t think of having more printed up.
I was in my pre-Etsy way of thinking. Which was that a proof of my success was not to have any stock. I’d make something and sell it. It was gone and I’d move on to the next piece.
But, the other day I was looking in my Etsy Shop and contemplating the postcards I want to print up when the idea came to me to have more Show Your Soul Posters made.
This probably would have been obvious to someone else.
Since people kept buying them, maybe there are more people out there who want them.
Also, they’re the perfect poster for who I am and what I believe in. I feel I’d always like to have them available in one form or another (I’m thinking about making them into business card sized stickers).
So now my Show Your Soul Posters are for sale again in my Etsy Shop. They’re 11″x 17″ and are $15 + $5 shipping. I initial and date the back of each one. You can buy them here or by clicking on the Etsy Icon on the top of my blog.
The image for this poster comes from a Fabric Painting, by the same name, that I made last year. You can see it and read about it here.
When we get past the fear and pain and anger, and get down to our true selves, our soul, it’s not only good for us, but for the whole world. When we show our soul to the world through our actions, I believe it can help change the world to make it kinder and more loving.
And we do this one person at a time. Each one of us, striving to show our own beautiful soul.
That’s just what I’m doing by putting my postcards and posters out into the world. We all show our souls in different ways. And this is one of the ways I’m doing it.
My Show Your Soul Postcards are 6 for $10 + $3 shipping.
You can buy them by using the paypal button below…
I made my Show Your Soul Poster into 4×6 Postcards .
I’ve already gotten messages from people who bought the posters, how they’re framing them and hanging them in their homes.
The postcards do something else. With them you can easily send that message out into the world.
And not only will it be seen by the person you send it to, but it also gets to be seen by all the people who will come across it on it’s way to it’s destination.

I picked up my Show Your Soul Posters today and I’m very excited about getting them out into the world. I’ve already sold most of the ones I got today, but I do have more available and can also order more too.
The Posters are 11″x17″ and are printed on a heavy paper. Jon took the photo I used for the poster and you can see all the details so clearly, including the texture of the fabric. Sara Kelly did a wonderful job designing the posters.

There’s so many ways to show our souls, this is one way I’m showing mine.
“One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. How many hours did I spend trying to make my Show Your Soul poster? Well I lost count, but it went on for days. Then, when I got the poster back from the printer, the font was wrong. And it wasn’t his fault. It was something wrong with the program I used.
A couple of days ago I tried again. But there are some things I’m just not meant to do. And making this poster is one of them.
So I did what I should have done a month ago. I got in touch with Sara Kelly, (you may remember her paintings in the Open House this past fall) the best graphic designer in Cambridge, and asked her to help me.
This afternoon we sat in her cozy office and she worked her magic. (Thank you Sara!)
Forty five minutes later, I had two posters, one to hang around town and a larger one to sell.
Sara gave the poster some special touches that I didn’t even know were possible.
Then she emailed them to the printer and told him to watch out for me, I was on my way to place an order.
I am very excited about finally having the posters printed. I should have them by next week. I still have to figure out the shipping charges, but I think the cost of the poster and shipping will be somewhere between $15-$20.
So everyone who placed an order, I’ll be getting in touch with you soon. And anyone who hasn’t placed an order yet, you can email me at [email protected] if you’d like one. Once I know the exact price, I’ll be posting them again for sale.
Here’s what the posters will look like…
This is the poster I’ll be selling. It’s 11″x17′. Sara made the letters the same color as the fabric the goddess is drawn on, with a thin red line (the color of the leaves in her hair) to accentuate them. It makes such a big difference in how the poster looks and it’s not something I ever would have thought of.
This is the smaller poster for hanging around town.
Along with the last minute stuff, the nesting and lunch, I stapled up and handed out the last of my 50 Show Your Soul Posters in town today.
I gave one to Connie at the Mansion, (the residence where Jon brings Red to do therapy work) and while some people looked at it and wondered what it was all about, Connie completely got it. So did our friend the photographer, George Forss.
I’ll be selling the posters when I get back from India.
It was all I could do to get the 50 copies made this week and hang them around town. A friend in Vermont asked for some to hang in her town. And another friend wants to send them to a group she works with in New York.
I love the idea of spreading the Show Your Soul message anyway possible. So feel free to share it on fb or on your blog as my friend Eve Marko did on her blog.
And when I get back, in just over two weeks, I’ll be taking orders. I have all the information about cost and the size and all of that by then.
I’m going to be hanging more Show Your Soul posters up in my town of Cambridge tomorrow.
Since putting it up on my blog I’ve gotten a lot of requests for the poster.
I leave for India on Sunday and will be gone for two weeks. But when I got back I’ll have more posters made and will be offering them of sale.
So thanks to everyone for asking about the posters. I’m thrilled that so many people want them. And can’t wait to be able to send them off in the mail to all of you.
