The sun shines for a moment, then the rain comes, it turns to snow then the sun comes back, there’s flurries and wind and even hail.
Mostly the hens take cover from the weather in the barn or wood shed, but this afternoon they were all huddled around Ed Gulley’s Turtle on the back porch.
Maybe seeing the Turtle made Red Hen homesick for Bejosh Farm and the other hens were giving her some time alone.
