Creative Chronicles: Living and Working Together, Our Latest Podcast

My Studio, don’t know what I’d do without her.

I walk into the house go get a drink or go to the bathroom.  “Can you read this?” I hear Jon call out from his study.

I’ve come to know those words so well, to expect them at any time of the day.  They are part of Jon’s and my creative life together.

I’d been thinking about those words and how Jon and I manage living and working from home together.  Then I read a passage in the book Ninth Street Woman by Mary Gabriel about abstract expressionist artists, Lee Krasner, Elaine DeKooning, Grace Hartigan, Joan Mitchell and Helen Frankenthaler. The part I recently read describes how Lee Krasner and Jackson Pollock, who both had studios at their home, never went into each others studio with being asked.

I read the passage to Jon this morning and knew the subject would be just right for a podcast.

We called it Creative Chronicles: Living and Working Together and you can listen to it here.
