I usually take my iPhone with me when I walk in the woods to take photos with, but it never rings. So I was surprised when it did today and I saw it was Suzy calling me. She wanted to get my opinion on a couple of photos she sent me of a new shawl she made to sell on my blog. Suzy said she felt bad for interrupting me on my walk, but I felt like we were taking a walk together.
I was struck by how much the photo of the shawl, the colors and the way the sun dappled the less opaque parts of it, reminded me of the autumn landscape I was walking through. So I asked Suzy if it was okay to call it “Walk In The Woods”.

This shawl is made from natural and dyed wool and it’s as soft as it looks.
Most of the wool Suzy uses in her handspun and hand-knit shawls come from her Mohair goats, Lucy, Alice, April, Ruth and Larry, and she supplements it with wool from other fiber artists. Each of Suzy’s shawls is a unique combination of wool, color, texture, and pattern.
