This summer we had so many eggs we were giving them away. Today we received the second egg since the hens molted.
Too much of anything makes me uncomfortable. But one egg whenever it comes, makes me grateful.

It still feels exciting to go to the nestbox and find the gift of another egg! So grateful to my feathered girls – it’s like a treasure hunt every day, doesn’t get old. And such fun watching them just being chickens, and enjoying the leftovers we bring as treats.

I’m convinced it’s what lies behind the easter egg hunt Linda. With all the excitement of finding an egg. Chickens really are wonderful animals to live with, they give so much and need so little care.
