Thank You All So Much For Our GoFundMe

I came into the house from feeding the animals this morning and Jon was already at his computer.  Before I could even take off my gloves he  turned to look at me through the doorway of his office.

“It’s at $8,000,” he said.

I was sure he was wrong.  Yesterday evening  we had received the $7000. that we need to merge our blogs together.  But GoFundMe keeps the fundraising going even after the goal is reached.

I still didn’t believe it until I saw it.

Because of all the donations we received over the past days, of all sizes, we will start work on our New Bedlam Farm blog on Monday.

We are a bit stunned.

Not only at the donations, but that so many of them were smaller amounts meaning there are a lot of people out there, reading out blogs that want them to continue and now in this new way.

We need some time to absorb this all.

Jon and I have both been dedicated to our blog for almost 20 years allowing them to change and evolve.   But always  keeping true to our mission of bringing the farm, our animals, art, writing and our lives to anyone who wants to read about them and see them.

We do ask for donations, but our blogs have always been free.

We will do good with the extra money.  It will also help with the upkeep of the blog (there are monthly fees) and with the upkeep of the farm and our animals.

So thank you, thank you, and thank you again….
