At Home in the Fiber Sculpture Exhibit at ICA in Boston

I walked through the Fiber Sculpture Exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, with a knowing smile.  I had never seen any of the pieces in the exhibit and had only heard of one of the artists.  And yet, I felt like I was walking into a very familiar place.  Like I knew the work personally, or that it was so familiar somehow, that  it was just good to see.   I guess I was  surrounded by my tribe…. and it felt really good.

I didn’t think to  take note of the titles and artists, ( I just forgot)  but I did take some photos so you can see a bit of what I saw.

The only artist I knew in the exhibit. This piece is by Eva Hesse.
