We were lucky, we just got a little rain and wind from the storm yesterday. The electric didn’t even go out. But I was glad we unplugged just in case last night. I needed the rest. Spend the evening on the couch in front of the fireplace reading the new Louise Erdrich book The Round House.
And this morning after letting all the animals out of the barn, I was able to do some work in my studio. 11 patchwork potholders. It was slow going, but I allowed me to take my time. I’ll drop them off with Kim tomorrow. Most of these are already sold, so I’ll start on a new batch, I think I’ll mix it up, some patchwork some with my stitching. That’s what I’m thinking now, who knows what I’ll feel like doing tomorrow.
Love the cheery patchwork! They are nice and bright for these post-storm days especially with dark November looming.
When my screen popped open with these potholders, my heart leapt lively. What bouquet of color, warmth and joy! Wow, what a gift.
How nice to hear Cheryl (formerly by the sea?)
Yup, now about 45 minutes from the sea but on two acres of Oregon green. How wonderful to have the best of both worlds!
It does sound wonderful Cheryl
Love the colors, especially as the world outside gets grayer!!
