Cat Quilt, All Done and Sold

cat quilt

I’m usually pretty good about keeping a supply of batting for my quilts.  But last week, after designing my Cat Quilt I couldn’t finish it because I ran out of batting.

I get my batting from a few different places, mostly online.  I usually get it from Connecting Threads, but this time Jo-Ann fabric had a better deal.  It took about a week for it to come in the mail, but it was still less expensive than me driving to Jo-Ann Fabric in Glens Falls and buying it there.

Fran, who I’ve come to know through my blog,  bought the quilt before it was done.  And knowing how much she likes animals and especially cats, I used a small  piece of red and yellow fabric with cats on it  and  a blue piece of fabric with birds on it for the backing.  I liked the way they worked with Vintage flowered fabric from 1974.

  1. Of course this is my favorite Quilt, with the exception of those of the Pember Library. Well done for the cat fans!
