We just finished dinner when Jon saw Socrates on the move.
We watched our Mystery Snail for more than the 2 minutes of this video. I never saw Jon so interested in the snails. We couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
I think the sense of wonder and curiosity about the natural world and the animals in it, whether in the wild or our own fish tank is such an important thing to have and hold on to. It’s this kind of witnessing that can connect us to other the beings that we share the earth with. It helps us understand and appreciate them more.
Jon and I watched Socrates’ story unravel before us, with an ending neither of us would have guessed. As you can see in the photo below, Emily did hitch that ride on Socrates back.
It’s so incredibly restful watching your two little snails “do their thing”. It IS so amazing that they can do all the things they do!
