Slow Change

On Saturday the frame for our solar panels was erected in the pasture.  On June 10th the panels will be installed and we’ll be using the sun to create most of the electricity at the farm.

Right now it’s like having a sculpture in the pasture.  I thought Lulu would be curious about it, but none of the animals paid any attention to it. I guess the grass was too enticing.

We decided to get the solar panels just before the virus hit.  We wavered about whether or not to go ahead with it because of the uncertainty due to the virus. But we decided we would as an act of faith that things would get better.

Seeing the frame go up yesterday felt like an affirmation of hope not only about healing from the effects fo the virus but hope for the environment too.  Change is possible slow as it may be.
