The batting and backing in place, my quilt is ready to be tacked.
I don’t think I’ll get to it this evening. I’m talking to my friend Emily in a bit. It’s something we’ve done once a week since the pandemic kept us sheltering in place. We Zoom and show each other what we made during the week.
Emily bakes for a living and has a husband and young daughter, but she always finds time in her week to make her art. I am impressed by that. She could have many excuses not to including the limited space she has to work in.
Emily and I trade ideas and encourage each other. We have a similar sensibility and work ethic. I always look forward to seeing what she’s been doing and our conversation.
Check out Emily’s work on her blog papercakescissors.
