I’ve been making potholders for 12 years, ever since I started my business. And like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike.
When I can’t close the top on my scrap bin, I know it’s time to make some potholders. These I call my Scrap Bin Potholders. ( I like to keep things simple when I can).
Making potholders always helps focus me when I’m distracted especially when I’m going through a difficult time. And when I first started my business, in 2008 during the recession, they kept me going. They also helped me understand the importance of being creative not only with my work but with my business too.
The thing about potholders is that almost everyone uses them. I’m an advocate for functional art. I like it in my home and I like to put it out into the world.
