Yesterday’s snow was totally unexpected. It came down hard and fast for most of the morning. The donkeys and sheep followed me into the back pasture when I went for a walk in the woods. They nibbled on some of the brambles but there was little to eat compared to the day before when there was winter grass to graze on.

The donkeys and sheep finally gave up trying to graze when we got back from our walk. They headed back to the barn, hoping for some grain, which they got.
