The Canada Goose Couple Are Back

Lori and the Canada Geese.

The Canada Goose couple that comes to the farm every spring to lay their eggs and raise their young are used to most of us who live on the farm by now.

They only fly away when Zinnia comes barrelling into the barnyard after them.  Unlike Bud, she has no intention of catching them, she just likes the chase.

This morning the couple were leisurely wading through the flooded marsh while the sheep grazed nearby.

They’ll make their nest of out sight.  For the past couple of years, we haven’t seen the baby geese, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there, well protected by the cattails and tall grasses.
