Suzy is working on a new shawl. It wasn’t planned, she just felt the urge to make another, a need to work with these colors.
Suzy and I make an effort to sell her shawls leading up to the holidays. But winter is going to be here for a while and it’s quite possible that someone who wanted one of Suzy’s shawls is still looking for one.
Anyway, it’s never a good idea to stifle a creative urge.
It doesn’t have to be a holiday to want a beautiful handmade shawl ; and Susie’s shawls always fill the want. Colors for this one are so nice. Can’t wait to see the finished piece. I have three of. Susie’s shawls and love them all.

“It’s never a good idea to stifle a creative urge” indeed. I was thinking that would make a great phrase for me to use on my next embroidery practice and then I burst out laughing. I had an image in my head of this phrase on a banner in a very messy elementary school classroom full of fully engaged (and messy) kids. I’ll be smiling about that for a while.
