Some of my succulents sleep in the winter, but others grow and bloom.
I have a cactus that has a ring of pink flower buds around its crown that get a little bigger every day. And my Mother of Thousands has a small fountain of bud sprouting from the top of it.
During the summer I repotted the Aloe Vera that my friend Emily gave me a few years ago. This morning its shadow reminded me of a spider or octopus. I expected it to move as I took this picture.

That Aloe Vera really does look octopus like! I’m imagining a comic strip in which the plant uses its “legs” to move itself to a preferred spot in the room.
I like the name Mother of Thousands. It instantly made me think of the honorific Mother of Dragons in Game of Thrones.
Trish, I think I would love to see the Aloe Vera walking around, as strange as it would be!
