Potholders for the Bedlam Farm Open House

insect potholders

I couldn’t help myself, I had the urge to make some potholders for the Open House today.  I made a bunch of really colorful ones, but in between I came across this fabric with butterflies, moths, leaves and beetles on it.  It and the grey fabric with the  black trees on it were right next to each other on my shelf.  There’s something about this mix of fabrics that I really love.  They work together on so many different levels.  Color, shape, design, and subject matter.

  1. Love these and especially how the butterflies anchor the centers. That rough form of lob cabin always calls to me, too. You can really let your spirit soar. Like the others, I love the tree fabric, too.
