Evening Walk

The days are getting shorter and shorter.  A few weeks ago I’d wait till five or six o’clock when it cooled down a little to take a walk in the woods.  Yesterday at 6pm the sun was already low enough to light up parts of the woods like a spotlight.

The dogs ran on the path, mostly grown over with wildflowers and intersected with fallen trees.

I’ll have to do some cleaning up this fall if I want to keep the path a path.  Nature has a way of making her power known.

  1. To Carol and Maria: I’m pretty sure that plant is White Snakeroot. I live in Wisconsin and it is blooming all over the woods right now.
