The Spiders Snowball

The woods, another world then just yesterday.  The spider was too small and moving to0 fast up her silk for me to photograph.

So I watched the pale brown spider, climb up her silk.

Snowflakes beaded the thread and as the spider climbed, they clustered behind her. I wondered if they made her way harder, because it looked to me like she was pulling the ball of snow up with her as she went.

And as she made her way higher up on the strand the flakes caught above her were added to the spiders snowball.  Almost as if she was gathering them.

I guess she was on her way to the branch her silk was hanging from.  I watched her climb, swaying in the cold air,  till I couldn’t see her anymore.
