Win A Heart

Win this Heart of Shibori Scraps Potholder
Win this Heart of Shibori Scraps Potholder

I am feeling so much love from so many different places this Valentines Day I wanted to share some of it.

So after my Valentine Massage this morning (thank you Jon) I came right to the studio and made this Heart of Scraps Potholder from some of the left over shibori fabric.  And I’m giving it away.  Let’s see, it’s about 12:30 now so leave a comment on my blog, if you’d like a chance to win this potholder,  and at 12:30 tomorrow (Friday) I’ll announce the winner, which I’ll pick at random.   Wishing you all a love filled day.

  1. I would love to win the potholder. The love shines right out of the heart. I would give it to my daughter in Maine who I only see usually once a year. I know she would hang it on the wall for art and then every time she looks at it, she would think of me.

I find the winters are long when no family is near and children are scattered…so I come to your site and see the beautiful materials and they seem like flowers in an otherwise colorless world.

Thank you, Maria, for sharing such beautiful art work.

  2. Happy Valentine’s Day, Maria! I love your work. It’s Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talents with the rest of the world.

  3. Happy Valentine’s Day Maria and Jon:-) I would love to win this beautiful piece. When I read your blog about the shibori quilt I thought you might use the scraps for a heart:-)

  12. I would love to win the gorgeous potholder for my niece, Jennifer. She would love it! The orange is just the color of her kitchen! Also, Maria, I want to thank you for telling us about how you create the quilts, potholders, and pillows. I really enjoy reading about the “creative process” and the personal story of each piece. You have such a generous spirit to share with all of us!

  15. Happy Valentines Day, Maria! I love your work and so enjoy the evolution of your work! I really like your streaming pieces but must say that the impact you can create from more *negative space* is growing on me- they are wonderful….with empty space creating things out of our very own imagination. I would cherish one of your potholders!
    Hugs from California
    Susan
